“That’s all you hear from government – ‘they’re listening to what science is saying’. Like as if it’s nothing to do with them.
“It’s not as if there’s only one science. Not like there’s only one scientific opinion. Only one bloody scientist.
“Yeah, alright. OK. So they’ve picked some kind of committee of scientists they’re listening to. What if they’re all wrong? Going on the dodgiest ideas. Risky shift isn’t it called? Something like that. I read about it.
“And you know what. Even if they’re listening to a hundred scientists, someone’s still making the decisions. The final decisions. Someone in government.
“You know. There might be hundreds of scientists but there’s only one prime minister. He’s the boss. He should carry the can.”
