“The other day I was watching a mildly confused dog – he was tied to the railings over there. Waiting. Very occasionally, yelping.
“And I wondered about how inarticulate a dog is – with its limited vocab.
“And yeah, I know, maybe this is all kind of obvious. But maybe there’s a mistake in thinking simple vocabulary means simple thoughts, simple feelings. Maybe they’re not related.”
